ACE Code of Conduct

Airsoft Corps of Engineers Code of Conduct

General Guidelines

The Airsoft Corps of Engineers prides itself on being a competitive force in the realm of airsoft, and we strive to foster a positive environment for both seasoned players and those looking at getting into the sport.

While we understand airsoft is a game, we also recognize that certain dangerous elements can present themselves during the course of a match. It is with these things in mind that these conduct and safety guidelines are being presented.

Conduct

In order to ensure the enjoyment of the sport for ourselves and others, ACE members are expected to represent themselves maturely, and be honest and fair in their actions.

  • Treat others as you would like to be treated.
  • Call your hits.
  • Refrain from calling other's hits.
  • Avoid confrontation.
  • If confrontation cannot be avoided or solved, bring it to the attention of an event coordinator or official.
  • Do not purposely put yourself or others in harm's way.
  • Most of all, have fun!

Safety

Although airsoft replicas are commonly considered toys, they are still capable of severely injuring a player, even if they are wearing appropriate safety gear. In order to minimize unnecessary and careless injuries, it is wise to treat all airsoft replicas as if they were actual firearms.

Weapons Safety Rules

  1. Treat every weapon as if it were loaded.
  2. Never point your weapon at anything you don't intend to shoot.
  3. Keep your finger straight and off the trigger until you intend to fire.
  4. Keep the weapon on safe until you are ready to fire.

By following these simple rules, you can help avoid careless accidents.

Be Safety Conscious

  • Study your environment; look out for gopher holes, downed branches and logs that might cause you to trip or roll your ankle.
  • Stay away from thick thorn bushes, and learn to recognize poison ivy, oak, and sumac.
  • Wear bug spray; check yourself for ticks during and after games.
  • Drink plenty of water, even in the winter; don't over-exert yourself.
  • Stay away from the wildlife - chances are, they don't want to have anything to do with you either.
  • Make sure a first aid kit is present and easily accessible in the case of an unforeseen emergency.
  • Have a cell phone, and be prepared to call for emergency assistance.
  • Wear proper eye protection.
